I thought it was basically like The Friday Night Project trying to model itself on a Welsh themed TFI Friday - that part failed but the presentation went along ok I thought. I'm not really a fan of Charlotte and why she has been given her own Friday night show I don't know. See how it progresses.

Why are people comparing this tripe to The Friday Night Project. FNP is actually funny!

It had it's moments. Not completely disappointing. Perhaps unsurprising given the budget and writers thrown at it.
Charlotte was a bit weaker than I had expected, but she was clearly running on adrenaline, and not a lot of experience. You could tell by the way she repeated the guest (co-presenter?) parrot-like at points.
She'll get better, but I think this is too big a vehicle for someone so wet behind the ears.
I'm worried too at the way she is being written into a role of bitching at all other celebrities. She'll run out of guests pretty soon.
Its all a bit homogeneous and undefined for me, but I'll give it another try - perhaps in a couple of weeks.

Thing that annoyed me the most was the constant Welsh-referencing of the show, often in a negative fashion. I'm not suggesting that the Welsh are likely to be offended or anything (although know knows what S4C made of it!) but it just comes across as a bit tiresome to have to keep having shots of sheep and bringing on male voice choirs just to get a laugh. It'll get repetitive very quickly if that's the only gag.

Even though Channel 4 are currently the only channel broadcasting a decent friday night lineup, the show was pretty good. It irritates me though how much mentioning of Wales has to be added into the show. I mean, fair enough the girl is Welsh but must they talk like it's the best place in the world?!?

I missed it sadly. She was good on have i got news for you and she came into her own on the showbizzy questions.
Infact after what i read in the tabloids, i think i'd rather see the out-takes.
However, love her as much as i do, i fear the risk of over exposure for her. There is almost an air of desperation. She wants to shake off the voice of angel image, yet cannot find her niche.
Gavin and Charlotte will no doubt always be Wales' equivalant to Posh and Becks but they haven't quite cut it with the rest of the U.K YET!
I hope she finds her niche before i get bored of her.

It wasn't bad actually - basically a series of short segments from a group of young people.
The only bad thing I found was it's really the first "youth" TV show that's made me feel old!!!
You are joking arn't you? "Whatever" is probably the worst programme ever made. If you look up the word stereotype in the dictionary, there's a picture of the people who present this show.
It was so poor what with it obviously being aimed at 15 year old male chavs, it made a repeat of Club Reps seem a more interesting proposition

Talking about Channel 4's Friday night line up, what was this
Whatever
Whatever is the result of letting a group of youths run riot in a TV studio, with outrageous and compelling consequences. This bold new Friday-night studio entertainment show allows a group of 12 young people to come up with a show that features whatever they'd like to see on the box, whatever the subject matter. (Part 1 of 6)

Yes, quite unfortunatly, this show is only going to reinforce the, generally incorrect, negative stereotypes about teenagers. Chavs and yobs are in the minority, and they should be doing something about this.
