According to the Daily Mail, The show is going to bomb with Charlotte cracking racist jokes, pushing the boundaries of taboos, the Producers are worried it could be worse than Davina example Chazza asks Sally Lindsay ''Do people think you are Shelly in real Life?'' I mean come on theve thrown guest writers at it and guests, which also include Eamon Holmes. Channel4 says the Pilot was dire and would not allow it to air and ae extremely worried about it as they've chucked loads of money at it.
The Chazza Church Show, 10pm, Channel4, 1st September
The signs are good then if the Daily Mail are slating it!!!
I think unlike others (Davina, Sharon Osbourne) nobody really is expecting much from the unproven Charlotte Church, so there is very little to loose.
I'm not expecting it to be great, but I could be surprised - and every chat show host has to start somewhere, with most coming from other areas of the industry.
Talking about Channel 4's Friday night line up, what was this
Whatever
Whatever is the result of letting a group of youths run riot in a TV studio, with outrageous and compelling consequences. This bold new Friday-night studio entertainment show allows a group of 12 young people to come up with a show that features whatever they'd like to see on the box, whatever the subject matter. (Part 1 of 6)
I expect the subjects were not the same as those which were discussed by TV Forum youths in that TV Forum TV thread last week
Over on DS they seem to be slating it, which is unusual as they usually love every second of Channl 4's output

It doesn't sound good, but why are you trying to judge (via a poll) a show that hasn't aired yet?

It wasn't bad actually - basically a series of short segments from a group of young people.
The only bad thing I found was it's really the first "youth" TV show that's made me feel old!!!
Also new in the Friday night line up is panel show The Best of the Worst. Nothing we haven't seen before, but it's hosted by Alexander Armstrong - the person many suggest should get Have I Got News For You on a permanent basis - with the brilliant David Mitchell and love him or hate him Johnny Vaughan!
And more interestingly, the return of Da Ali G Show.
Now I think the Sharon Osbourne Show has potential but I can't see it with this one somehow. It'll need lots of acts and various things throughout the show for it to work - just Chazza on her own talking to a guest? hmmm...sounds uneasy and irritating.
Whatever was good, especially the sex chatline competition but every second with one of the presenters was starting with an F though with an uck after it
Well Ms Church certainly wins on the promo campaign front. The Sharon Osbourne one is pretty awful, but the Charlotte Church one works well - especially the full promo linking together all the shorter ones!
The time to make a Charlotte Church show was when she was first discovered all those years ago - ie. when she was a sweet little thing with a mesmerising voice.
The off-the-rails, tabloid darling, talent-squandering creature that is today's Charlotte Church deserves airtime no more than Nikki Grahame.
