I still find it enjoyable but it doesn't make me laugh out loud as much, probably because Charlie has stopped being as over the top as he used to be. I liked the Ed Miliband "UH" posters!

I liked the first 25mins of today show it didnt feel like Brooker was padding it out with extras.

I suspect it was an attempt to do something different as most of the show this week was wrapped around the mock top 40 chart countdown. Philomena Cunk seems hit and miss this series, though this may be more down to the "moments of wonder" she decides to tackle - does Diane Morgan write her own script for her character or is it mostly provided by Charlie Brooker?

I believe looking at one of their Twitter feeds in early January -Moments of wonder us was partly written by Joel Morris and Jason Hazeley

The Top 40 countdown was surely the definition of padding.

Yeah, but some weeks Moments Of Wonder is a very p*ss poor attempt at doing the 'special report' feature on The Daily Show.
They have interviews, where you are never quite sure if the interviewee is totally in on the joke of silly questioning - or not.
Regardless of who writes it, I love that segment. Diane Morgan nails it every week. I imagine she ad libs the interview bits.

Do you mean something like this:

MoW is more of a parody of the "personal journey" that was in vogue, briefly, a few years ago, but that I can't recall seeing recently, and if there's any "target" to them it's the "clueless host" that Philomena Cunk is parodying. The interviewees are just extras.
The Daily Show, on the other hand, while similarly occasionally featuring bamboozled interviewees, are quite clearly targetting said interviewees, exposing their hypocrisies and the like.
MoW would be fine as a regular slot on Live at the Electric, or something, but on Weekly Wipe it should at least have a point to make (and preferably a new one each week).
