Philomena Cunk is the best thing about it at the moment. It might get better as the series goes on but this weeks just felt so out of date - they were obviously issues Charlie Brooker wanted to highlight but with a satirical show it has to be current otherwise there is no point.
To be honest I was quite surprised the series returned - I didn't think he was doing anymore.

May have worked better as a standalone January Wipe based on that episode in all honesty.
I wonder if the gap between the 2014 Yearly Wipe and the new series was too long, as last year the gap between 2013 Wipe and the beginning of 2014 Weekly Wipe was 12 days. This year the gap between 2014 Wipe and 2015 Weekly Wipe is the best part of a month, hence the emphasis on the out-of-date stuff.
Still, new episode on Thursday, hopefully the show should sort itself out.
I still think the show is great, but like others have suggested elsewhere, i think the show would be better as a Monthly wipe, once a month throughout the year. Though from a practical point of view, that's a pretty difficult way to do it.
I think it lost a little something when it moved to BBC Two. As much as I like Weekly Wipe, I thought Screenwipe and Newswipe were thoroughly more enjoyable.

Seems to be a trend for some reason when things move to BBC Two. When Apprentice You're Fired started on BBC Three it was enjoyable. Move it to BBC Two when the main show was promoted to BBC One and it just lost its mojo.
Same thing appears to have happened with Jack Whitehall's Backchat. The format's been tweaked and it doesn't quite work as well as it did when it was on BBC Three. Even Only Connect seems to have lost its sparkle, I feel and doesn't "feel" right on Two.
