Did anyone else enjoy this review of the year from CB? Was this a repeat? I was expecting to see some comments on it this morning.

It was laugh out loud funny. Loved his take on the soaps.

New series coming in a couple of weeks according to his final comment.

Woo.

It was originally broadcast in the early hours of New Year's Day IIRC. I guess most people were out celebrating rather than watching BBC Four at the time. Luckily I spotted it at the time and PVR'd it.

I was particularly amused by the description of how Tracy and Charlie from Coronation Street looked like a Crimewatch reconstruction version of Fred and Rose West.

I thought his description of Tracy, "skeletal and cock mad" was near the knuckle, but it made me laugh.

I'm surprised you thought it was laugh out loud funny - I love the programme to bits and I'm usually in that state but I thought it was a little bittier than usual and a few bits dragged. I might have been in a bad mood or something though, so I won't hold it against the programme.

I'm really looking forward to the new series, it looks great.

See, I'd spotted it on New Years' Day but it was billed as a repeat of the Christmas Special on whatever EPG I'd looked at, so glad it was repeated. Until I read this thread I just assumed it had been put back a couple of weeks.
