Hilarious episode last night, was a great watch. Anyone know if the BBC have any plans to re-run all the series at some point, from that YouTube channel it seems I've missed Series 1 and 2, along with the USA Special.

As mentioned - a real laugh out loud episode last night, as always. He really does have it spot on and I always watch thinking he has the kind of personality that you should hate in a kind of "what do YOU know?" way. But he's just so bloody likeable.

And anyone who calls someone a see you next Tuesday (albeit bleeped) gets my vote. Laughing

I thought it was quite telling how he explained the guidelines with alcohol commercials. - jeez, they may as well stop advertising them full stop.

Great to see Barry Sh!tpeas too.

I finally caught an episode, & what a great show it was. Love the bits where he's ripping into the ads, especially the Nescafe ad's Laughing

BTW Was it just me who thought at the same time as Charlie said it that "that cat's dead now" Laughing

I do like how Brooker has set up the end credits with both noise and visual action in an effort to defeat the use of an ECP. Hope that stays the case for the rest of the series.

Mind you, I missed the BBC FOUR transmission last night so I'm not sure if the... end credits, were ECP'd.

They were, and in an odd situation they were cross-promoting Radio 1. Sure, it was as Brooker was on Nihal's show, but it was still odd to see.

Great show last night as always. Very Happy

They should really release Screenwipe on DVD - I'd buy the whole collection!

Hmmmm at this week's edition. Very enlightening and nice to hear from some writing greats but it was so out of character and don't felt it really needed 50 minutes.

I think if I'd have known how different it would have been then I would have been prepared for it but I'm kind of wishing that I'd watched Alan B'stard on the other side and saved this Screenwipe for the iPlayer.

I think it was interesting, very good, and I didn't feel it lasted 50 minutes... but it wasn't Screenwipe.

It was very interesting. Personally I wanted more than 50 minutes!

It was a very interesting programme, but you're right - it wasn't Screenwipe! Glad they did it, nevertheless - great insight into scriptwriting. Charlie Brooker actually makes a pretty good interviewer when he's being serious, too!

As i said on another forum:

You know when i started watching this, i knew straight away that it was going to be nothing but the interviews for the best part of an hour. I thought whilst watching it that i might think at the end that it really should have been broken up with extra clips or some funny bit with Charlie on his sofa talking about writing. But at the end, even though there was nothing but talking for the best part of an hour, i was still glued to the TV. Fantastic decision to do it that way in my view. Only on BBC Four would anybody have the balls to just have interesting and talented people TALK for an hour. Brilliant stuff. I'm also glad that Charlie didn't feel the need to get his personality across too much and let the talent just talk. It's that which separates him from modern interviewers like Jonathan Ross.

From a presentation point of view, did anyone notice the non-standard credits horizontally scrolling at the end? Who let them do that? Laughing
