Footballer's Wives character Tania Turner is set to transfer to Bad Girls after being found guilty of the murder of her husband.

Both shows, producers by Shed Productions, will air on ITV1 next year, with the climax of FW leading to Tania Turner appearing in the first episode of Bad Girls.

A nice move I think - though Corrie and Emmerdale would do it first - and it has already been done with Brookie and Hollyoaks (Matt Musgrove).

I always wanted a crosschannel production for charity - a major accident happens and you have the fire service [london's burning] and police [merseybeat], with the casulties being taken to two local hospitals [A&E and Holby City]

What about those who don’t watch Footballers wives & Bad Girls? I personally only watch one and not the other. I'm not too sure if this is a good move or not. Does Footballers Wives produce the same ratings as Bad Girls? If one flops then it could bring the other one down slightly too.

What, and one character could have that effect?! Perhaps the whole point of this exercise is to get FW fans watching Bad Girls

On another note, does anyone know exactly what happened to Yvonne last series?

She's dead right. Just left down there to rot in hell. Shame she will not be in the new series. One of my fave Characters!

Yes, poor old Yvonne will be left down there to rot forever I fear as she will not be appearing in the next series. Next time, Fenner seriously needs to get his comeuppance.

Can't wait for the next series of Bad Girls, it is fab. Denise Welch was meant to be the new governor but she's pulled out following her personal problems. Don't know who they will cast in the role now. I take it Clare King has left following being framed by Fenner.

It will probably be when Jack Ellis leaves the series or when Bad Girls ends. A bit like when The Freak got her comeuppance on the last episode of Prisoner.

Yes, what a fab ending to Prisoner. The Freak went on for years, had many set backs on the way, but just when you thought she'd been beaten, bounced back. That was a fabulous finale to a fabulous series. Anyone bought the Prisoner DVD, I understand it has the final couple of episodes on there along with memorable ones such as the fire and the siege.

Yeah I've bought the DVD its really good Its even got interviews with Val Lehman (Bea Smith) and Anne Phelan(Myra Desmond). Apparently there releasing a second Prisoner DVD in Australia hopefully it won't be too long until it comes to Britain.

Got the second dvd box set months ago (don't you love region-free players).
The disks are

1) The beginning (full first 4 episodes)

2) The Great Escapes (Frank Doyle, Marie Winters, Lexie and the tunnel)

3) On the Inside (riots and more)

On transferring characters to Bad Girls from Footballers wives, strange idea as they have already transferred at least one actor the other way around.

Just been reading about Footballers Wives getting a new Gay Character:

Quote:
Footballers' Wives is to feature a gay character for the first time, The Sun reports today.

20-year-old former Grange Hill actor Marcel McCalla will play the part of Noah Alexander, a kid who is promoted to the first team.

Noah is hiding a secret from his teammates, however: he is gay and fances the new team captain, Conrad Gates.

McCalla said: “Noah finds it hard to carry this big secret. It makes him less relaxed around his team mates.”

The character eventually accepts his sexuality after indulging in a "steamy fling" with another player.

From Digital spy.

So is this a good idea? I expect it will help alot in the raitings. With everything thats going on Between FB Wives and Bad Girls, I think this new Character will help improve the program and take it to a new level.
