I was thinking the other day how I'd love to get some of the channels I've seen and heard about abroad... so, which foreign channels would you like to see come to the UK?

Arrow FOX (US)
Arrow Ten (AUS)
Arrow HBO (US)
Arrow MTV2 POP (GER)
Arrow RADIO Hit Channel (ITALY I THINK)

There are probably others as well but can't think of them right now...

MTV POP would be good as it plays a lot of dance music (more than MTV Dance) but they're replacing it with Nickelodeon Germany in September.

Channel's i'd like:

Nick at Nite and/or TV Land
NBC Europe
The WB
NW
nwtv2003
Arrow NBC The American version is very watchable and has a good choice of programming and less reality than CBS and FOX. The problem is that most NBC programmes are shown in the UK.

Arrow Comedy Central This would be interesting as it does produce some okay stuff such as South Park, but I don't know how much it would differ from Paramount Comedy.

Arrow TV Land I believe this channel shows really old American programmes, such as Black and White programmes, it would be interesting if they had a British version with British programmes. As without Plus there's no home for this nowadays.

Didn't Nickelodeon Germany close down in the late 1990's?

I would definitely welcome SVT Europa and Arte. I would also like to see the channels previously available on sky analogue such as ARD, Sat 1, Pro 7, etc.

Yep, but for whatever reason they're bringing it back - http://www.c21media.net/news/detail.asp?area=1&article=24245

That channel has a strange history, first it was Nick Germany, then VH1 Germany, now it's MTV 2 Pop, and soon it will be Nickelodeon again...

Hatton Cross
MSNBC.
Just back from a few days in New York, and I watched this channel more than the others.

I really wish CNBC Europe would simlicast this channel (either live or do some 'best of' shows) more over the weekends and during the 'downtime' of the world markets.

We definately need Comedy Central.

Tech TV and the American National Networks.

And on a similar note, can we get rid of Fox News and replace it with CNN Headline News or another american News Channel

Tech TV (as it was a couple of years ago) would be nice.

A few more international channels would be nice too.

I can't believe any US network could be defined as 'very watchable'. To foreign (i.e. british) eyes it's extremely annoying and distracting...... albeit fascinatingly so

Tech TV . . .

This was effectively (to all intents and purposes) the US equivalent of [.tv]. But recently, the general technology related
content has been all but ditched, and the channel has been relaunched as "G4TV - Video Game Television", and is
now (as you'll have already guessed) all about video games and related stuff. Even the ScreenSavers has gone,
and AFAIK, this was a popular live technology magazine show, with a studio audience and live phone ins.

If anything, I can't see any reason for [.tv] not to return. IIRC, that channel was axed by Sky due to low viewing
figures. Even so, it was definitely a far more worthy channel than some of the p*ss poor minority channels now
available. I'm sure the likes of FriendlyTV, Nation217, and GetLuckyTV, get far less viewers than [.tv] ever did!
