UTV Christmas presentation is starting tomorrow according to their MD's reply to me on Twitter. Their Facebook and Twitter icons have been changed to this, which is perhaps a sign of things to come:

Looks promising.

Wonder if it's royalty free videos they're using again.

I'd rather they used royalty free and looked great than going out and shooting total rubbish like ITV have done.

Ugh, that Comedy Central one is very unoriginal. A guy in red dancing? BBC One's old Rhythm and Movement idents!

S4C has Christmas trailers, but no idents as yet.

Disappointing considering the creativity we've seen from Comedy Central in promos over the last few years. Still, nice take on 'Christmas-ifiying' the logo, even if Gold already thought of the same thing!


I noticed whilst watching a recording of the latest South Park that the channel's IPPs have changed slightly. They now all use a dark red background, which is very translucent, so translucent that it's hard to read the text on busy backgrounds. They also now animate in one way, from the bottom with a sort of judder as they stop.

Channel 4 are reusing the Snowman and the Snowdog Ident from last year.
