It does seem STV use xmas idents for two years period. Mind you at least there still making an effort unlike 1996 or 1997, I cant remember what was used for 98 or 99.

I don't think there was an ident in 1998 or 1999. In 1997 there was an ident but I think it only appeared on Christmas day itself! I don't know if I still have it in my VHS collection - I suspect not. I do remember the tune was the same as the first few seconds of the BBC1 Christmas promotion in 1992! I got the feeling it was put together very quickly at the last moment. Almost as if someone decided on Christmas Eve that Scottish TV had better have a festive ident after all.

History and Lifetime have Christmas presentation now. Dave is running a bear and hare parody. There's also a special UKTV cross channel Christmas promo and Good Food looks like it has new trailers this year.
