Channel TV opt out of network at 5pm

Wow what a surprise in the run up to the liberation 60 channel are doing channel report from 5.30 - 6.30pm With what looked like a couple of live ob's

Just been told by the wife that its going to be about the new jersey clipper boat around the world race as well

When was the last time channel did something like this? in the first half, half of 5pm they showed another programme forgot its name

And I note that Justin Leigh is presenting the whole of Spotlight from St Helier on Monday.

I think Channel is only doing the basic half hour Monday.

ITV News has just had Meridian presenter Andy Craig reporting live from St Helier.

That's odd. Why ship someone from Meridian all the way to Jersey when Channel have got reporters already in Jersey at their disposal?

do Channel have satellite uplink facilities? It may be that they had to send an SNG so why not send a reporter as well
