Well, it's here! Channel M is on freeview Channel 200 from Winter Hill, with "JML Direct" and "MCR Shopping 2" following on 201 and 202 (though they don't appear to be showing anything, but that may be my box).

I thought you'd be on a fancy Freeview+HD box by now, Ash! Wink

Well it isn't here on my Freeview box. Even after a full retune, neither Channel M or those other two are available.
Now I've got to delete unwanted channels again, such as Radio Chav (1Xtra), BabeStation and Gay Rabbit!

Apparently the signal is quite weak, as I can't get a thing here in Warrington, although we're out of Channel M's patch, we managed to get a watchable picture on Analogue. According to DS Forums it's not very strong in Wigan either.

Well, if I watch on the box we have in the living room it's all balck and the sound breaks up, but if I use my TV card on my 'puter it's perfect with no break ups. But in my bedroom using the indoor ariel, can't get a thing. So it varies even here. When I tried with my TV card it didn't pick up the other two channels, just Channel M.

Not yet, there's not enough to draw me to spend the money as yet. I was late with freeview normal as well, don't ya know.

I get the 3 new channels all fine in South Manchester (all seem to be broadcasting this morning too; as much as JML TV and MCR Shopping count as broadcasting Wink ). Then again, I can get all the muxes from Wales fine, so if I couldn't get this from Winter Hill I'd have been a bit worried! Laughing The EPG seems to be fully working for all of them too, which is more than I expected this early on. For people doing manual retunes (so as to avoid having to move around Welsh channels again), the mux is on Channel 57.

I still think the Trafford Centre missed a trick by not getting Trafford Centre TV on the local mux mind. Easy promotion for the place, and they've actually got some occasional stage events to show on it!

That's not a bad idea when you think about it, but when you're in The Orient I think it already gets more viewers than what Channel M does. Anyone else notice that Trafford Centre TV has their own Thames skyline ident, with the famous Thames jingle included.

I get nothing on Channel 57 in Southport.

Are we going to get something on this local mux or are only the privileged few in Mecca getting some local channels?

Believe me Ste you are not missing anything decent, near enough all of the decent content Channel M had has been axed and it's now full of repeats, Teleshopping and EuroNews.

Shame the Local MUX can't be on for all of the North West, so give Manchester a channel, give Liverpool a channel, give Cheshire, Lancashire a channel etc etc.

Is there a reason why this cannot be done? If Winter Hill transmits the Channel M mux towards one direction for Manchester could it not transmit a different mux to West of it for Liverpool, St Helens, Wigan, Southport and another mux to the North for Preston, Blackburn, Burnley etc.

Just retuned my freeview recorder (with only 60% signal strengh) and I have all 3 channels, no problems what so ever, but living between Bury & Bolton I suppose that's why I have it.

So you can I get it as you're closer to the Winter Hill transmitter, while tesandco can receive it in South Manchester.
I'm more or less slap bang in the middle of you both geographically, literally a stone's throw from the boundary
between Whitefield and Bury, and I can't get the channel at all on either of my Freeview boxes!
