Just for your information - Channel M, Manchester's budget TV station, is now streaming at www.channelm.co.uk (when it works). They're using the (imo annoying) itv local system.
The feed on their website doesn't seem to be Live with the main channel, as said it has an ITV Local feel to the service. Either way it's nice to see it looking better, it used to be nothing more than a corporate information page.
The news is now live too (at least at the start of it) and repeated at 9pm.
Yeah I noticed that, though the 5pm edition tends to have quite a few glitches in the picture, just imagine in the old days when TV-am handed over to ITV, it's like that, but it's starting to get a bit annoying now. But anyway the 9pm repeat will come in handy indeed whenever I work at 5pm. Though they have the bulletins online, they don't seem to be updated that often, one is from the day they announced the IRA Bomb inquiry was to end, and the other was a News review from last week.
Though if (you're sad like me) you listened to Anthony Wilson's programme on BBC Radio Manchester last Saturday, they had a talk about Channel M and the BBC moving up North etc, but they had the head of the Guaridan Media Group North on and he said they're putting as much money into Channel M as possible, mostly from Manchester Evening News savings.
Also, anyone notice the big ad's on the lamposts that Channel M have taken out on Princess Parkway? Quite nice....
