That's the problem though - if they're suffering financially the content obviously isn't there commercially speaking!

The problem being probably they're a music channel that actually shows music - unlike MTV or VH1 etc.

Not necessarily. They are suffering financially as a whole, which could be to do with their Radio and Magazine operations, not TV.

A bit more on this today in the FT - confirming they will launch a Freeview channel together, but no details at all and no news whether it would replace The Hits or one of C4's +1 channels. C4 have already implied Film4+1 is staying for viewers who can't receive Film4 om MuxD after DSO.

EMAP's 3C has closed on Freeview and been replaced by Clyde 1 btw if nobody knew. It's on 724.

Which is a shame really, as they played some great music on 3C.

Flicked through last night to be greated by some ugly red screen and an advert for some Scottish carpet firm! The joys of local radio hey!

I'm surprised C4 Radio hasn't cropped up in some form on digital TV yet - I know it's mainly based on podcasts at the moment, but you'd think getting something on Freeview would help boost it's bid, even if it's a basic schedule repeated daily. I think an announcement on Channel 4 Radio is expected at the end of the week.

Funny, that's when I tuned in this morning... that red screen looks like something a 3 year old has done and put in the Mocks forum.
