But they can't interfere with the show too much - remember, it is a brought in American format.
It used to really wind me up that at no time did LWT ever put 'based on The Dating Game distributed by Columbia - TriStar ' on the credits.
As I mentioned previously I believe that's because it wasn't a direct adaptation. There was a show (US interview on YouTube somewhere) in which Barris said he had nothing to do with BD.
Considering Vicky Pattison is the name being most linked with this I think we can see how much respect C5 have for this classic format.
I keep seeing Helen Flanagan mentioned as well. One, she's not a TV presenter, and two, she's just committed to a year on Coronation Street, so she's probably not available! I think any mention of specific names is just unsubstantiated hearsay right now, it'll probably be someone whose name hasn't even been mentioned yet.
Can't really see it working with two hosts. Does highlight though how there is pretty much a shortage of TV presenters around now the production line of kids TV has all but closed.

A lot of kids' TV presenters seem to be sticking to kids TV now and not moving on. Like Sam & Mark, Barney Harwood, Dick & Dom and Naomi Wilkinson.
However, there have been others recently who have branched out. Will Best from Dance Dance Dance hosts Airmageddon on CBBC. Michelle Ackerley began on Deadly Art in 2011, and has hosted All Over the Place on CBBC since 2011. Now she also presents for The One Show and Watchdog. Helen Skelton from Blue Peter hosts for Countryfile and did the BBC's Olympic coverage. Cel Spellman started on Friday Download from 2011 to 2015, and currently hosts the CBBC Official Chart Show, As well as being a Radio 1 DJ and hosts the behind the scenes extras of The Voice.
There are others, like Ben Shires (Officially Amazing, C4's World of Weird) and Iain Stirling (CBBC continuity, The Dog Ate My Homework, ITV2's Love Island)
There has always been kids TV presenters that never moved to adult TV. The late Mark Speight was one example.
I'd say in recent years more and more have been making the move to adult TV with more outlets available to them.
Dick & Dom tried to brake adult TV but it just didn't work. If someone wanted to give Sam & Mark a vehicle they would've done by now. In terms of double acts Ant & Dec are very much the exception to the rule.
I think due to kids TV having much reduced visibility doesn't help though and they tend to be getting much lower profile jobs. It's hard to see the next Anthea Turner, Richard Bacon or Fearne Cotton coming along. Most that move to adult TV seem to be doing sport.

Yet people complain Timmy mallett never made the move, mind you he does paint. Its great shame what happened to Mark Speight

For Sam & Mark, it's more of a case of them not wanting to move. In an interview with the BBC Academy, they were asked about moving to 'adult' TV. They replied saying it would not work and it wouldn't be the same.
Timmy Mallett, was offered work in 'adult' television - but appears happier stopping in the world of 'grown up child'
I remember watching a documentary on (IIRC) Kids TV with Tommy Boyd, and he tells the story of talking to a producer who tried to hire Timmy for a programme he was making, remembered watching Mallett on TV-am, and figured that after 15-20 year gap - Tim would have probably grown up, and would want some work.
TM turned up to the meeting in loud coloured clothing, and doing the 'blaggghh blagghhh' act - and didn't get the job.
Boyd later saw Mallett, and asked why he behaved like that and lost the presenting gig, and Timmy just made the usual childish noises and walked off.
On the more serious bits of wacaday, those historical bits for example, he was bloody good at simplifying and explaining without patronising. Tone down the rest of the act and he could have easily moved into factual/documentaries.
