When they were first bought by Viacom it was revealed that MTV's original shows couldn't be repeated on C5 because of an agreement they've got with Sky, assume the same applies to Comedy Central.

Aside from Drunk History there really isn't anything worth repeating from the channel.

and The Daily Show

As in original British content.

Can't bear The Daily Show myself but that's for another thread.

CC dropped The Daily Show last month after over a year in a 1am slot on Comedy Central Extra.

I'm surprised The Late Late Show with James Corden didn't end up on one of Viacom's channels instead of the highlights show due to end up on Sky. If I'm not mistaken, the show airs on CBS and CBS are owned by Viacom.

Not quite, CBS and Viacom split into separate companies. They both have the same majority shareholder though.

Ah. I know Viacom had split in some form or another, but I didn't know CBS were involved in the split too.

Any ideas into what the new look may be?

Yep.
Either the word 'Five' or the number '5' somewhere in the idents, I'd guess...

We don't even know if the name is changing, so no point in speculating on what the idents/ DOG will look like/be. We will find out over the coming days.

"Celebrities on Benefits" is the newest offering from Channel 5. I have to ask, why are Channel 5 so over obsessed with people on benefits?

Because it brings them viewers and makes them money.
