Viacom-owned Channel 5 UK is revamping its popular Milkshake! preschool block for the first time in more than a decade.

The brand refresh, which is scheduled to launch on July 24 at 6:00 a.m., will include a new on-air logo and opening title sequence, as well as an “All New Week” event schedule. The makeover will also introduce the first-ever Milkshake! YouTube channel.
London Lite and Rory gave kudos

The current branding has been the longest serving and has survived at least 3 channel rebrands.

When my Aunty visited me recently with her grandkids they asked for it to be put on. I was surprised that it was still the same, though the kids seemed to like the "ma, ma, ma, ma, me, me, me, me, more milkshake" jingle. Similarly to CBeebies, the branding has lasted so long because the audience grow older and are replaced.

Yikes. That logo looks like something you'd see in the mocks forum!

It's a bit 'TV-AM'; for want of a better phrase.

That's a little disappointing! It seems like a change for changes sake as it appears to be a slightly tweaked version of the current logo.

I know people will say that they don't like the new logo but this is for kids. Does a 5 year-old care what the logo is? No. They only care about seeing Peppa Pig every morning and as long as their favourite show is there they couldn't (like most adults) care less about the rest of it.

As this is for your children I think slight tweaks is the best idea as we all know children are exactly always the most accepting of change.

It's fine, its current, it's for kids.
It looks modern and looks similar to Nick JR's current look, which is quite fitting when you think Milkshake is now a Viacom product.

With that logic why bother changing the logo at all? I assume they think this refresh will be more appealing to kids of that age than the previous look.

The new look will obviously be much more than just a new logo.

I assume it's been tweaked to better fit app icons and the like, with the m in front of the sun.
