Channel 5 is currently showing "New: Britain's Favourite Christmas Songs"
They're not even trying to hide the fact that this is a repackaged version of an old programme.
They've just shown a clip of an interview with Mike Reed, where he was talking about an old song where he said "we're still talking about it in 2011 going into 2012"

There was also an appearance from a certain Mr Glitter, which I found odd...

5 probably played the percentage game with that one.
Early Christmas Day, people doing many other things, expecting a zero rating...
'put it out, doubt anyone will notice'

The copyright credit at the end was from 2011, so it was actually just a repeat.
They shouldn't be allowed to list 8 year old repeats as "New" in the listings.

The programme currently being shown, "The Two Ronnies: The Unseen Sketches" is described as "a chance to see unseen work from the duo for the first time".
This is not true. These sketches were included in a series shown around 10 years ago on Paramount Comedy 2 / Comedy Central Extra, which was called something like The Two Ronnies Down Under, which I remember watching at the time.

And of course, it's hardly 'unseen', if you happend to watch it on the original 9 Network transmission in Australia.

The trouble is, The Two Ronnies: The Unseen Sketches Except for People Who Watched an Obscure Programme About Them on Paramount Comedy 2 More Than a Decade Ago or People Who Saw Them on Australian TV, Which Let's Be Honest Isn't Going to Be Many People in the UK, is a rather unwieldy and pedantic title.

You mean C5 showed something which has been shown under a different name. Well I never!

They just shouldn't have called it "a chance to see unseen work from the duo for the first time", as that's blatant lies.

Having watched it back it said the first opportunity to watch the sketches *in full*.
I have a vague recollection that the previous show may have used fair dealing rather than clearing the clips for broadcast and shown clips interspersed with talking heads so it could be classed as a review.
