I take it on 13th December 5 news will have extra bulletins like 30mins lunchtime and 30mins tea time at 5pm. If I was Ch5 I would have full hour programme at 5pm and be done with it.

Cheaper to do separate bulletins as they can reuse stories and reports. One hour long show would mean they'd have to spend more on more stories.

There was a competition giveaway giving away a trip to Ireland on last night's episode of Chris Tarrant's Extreme Railway Journeys. It was showing various pictures of Chris going around as a passenger on the railway network in Ireland.

The giveaway was shown in dark green text. But it had a big thick black outline around it on the outside. I didn't like the look of it.

Was that episode of Chris being in Ireland already broadcast on Channel 5 this year? There is a current series of 4 episodes of his railway programmes at 9pm on Monday nights. I have only seen some photos of him being with the show's production team around the various railway stations around Ireland on Twitter. There is no episode promos of that episode on the Twitter account yet. Am I right in guessing that this Irish Railway episode will be broadcast within the next 2 weeks because I haven't seen it yet?

Chris Tarrant is in Turkey for next Monday's episode at 9pm.

Following the merger of CBS and Viacom, Channel 5 and Australia's Network 10 are now bedfellows and they've already announced a joint drama commission:

Hopefully it will be a bit better than their mid-00s attempt which I think was called Crossing Over or something like that which was also a joint commission between the two.
