I’m sure last year that they held back until after Halloween, I think they even showed some made for tv Halloween films in the afternoons in October.

As it’s something that Channel 5 and quite a few other channels have done it must be profitable.

I'm always amazed how many Christmas made for TV movies there are. I think Hallmark and Lifetime in the US churn out a couple a year and now OWN is getting in on the act. I think a few of them do very strong business once we get closer to the big day.

Not just a couple - Hallmark will have 40 new Christmas movies this year and Lifetime a meagre 28, up from 34 and 18 respectively last year.

Woo, 40 new "movies" all telling the same damn story with varying budgets and qualities of writing, producing and God only knows what. "Somebody doesn't believe in Christmas until somebody else with irritating brat in tow convinces him/her/it to stop being a miserable sod and embrace a 'Christmas miracle'."

Seems it's being shown under three names on Monday night. Searching for it brings up "Inside Sainsbury’s: 150 Years on the high street" and "Inside Sainsbury's: Britains Oldest Supermarket", both of which link to the programme being shown as "Inside Sainsbury's: Posh or Past It?"

I preferred the internet when it had a sense of humour.

Bother’s Bar Stool Pigeon for October 2019 has thrown up:

Quote:
Comedy Central under Ben Frow is cancelling all UK shows, all of them. Roast Battle‘s just been announced as recommissioned but they’ve actually already filmed it. The channel is likely to be an imports only channel.

Which is a massive shame if true, as I think the channel has a nice collection of original TV series at the moment.

I think it's more likley we are going to see an overhaul of the current channel lineups. Why would CC be able to premium channel if it's all imports.
