I've been told that Comedy Central is coming under Ben Frow's remit soon and there will be programming changes. This comes a few weeks after Comedy Central was mysteriously grouped with the C5 channels on BARB. I'd speculate that Sky are pulling out of their partnership in the channel ahead of the launch of Sky Comedy. I wonder if it could eventually see them launching it on Freeview.

As long as Impractical Jokers stays on the channel, I don’t care what they do.

C5 seem to have gone from having the least to the most brands on Freeview, and nobody really knows the difference between their channels. I think even C5 have forgot they launched 5Select.
I preferred the internet when it had a sense of humour.

There's no reason why any channel would close. The channels are able to coexist perfectly fine at the moment and that will continue.

If there want CC on Freeview something has to go.

Comedy Central's content is very thin these days anyway, it's virtually all Friends. A far cry from the Paramount Comedy days.

Its been like that for years, I remember back in 2011, it was all Kings of Queens, Everyone loves Raymond and Two and half men.

The Great Model Railway Challenge is returning for another series this Friday night at 8pm.

They have a documentary on the rivalry between McDonald's & Burger King on Monday night at 9pm.

Also why does Channel 5 have a documentary on Cadbury when Channel 4 are broadcasting one about Cadbury this weekend?

The TV guides have the 2 Cadburys documentaries broadcast on this Sunday at 5:40pm on Channel 5 & 8pm on Channel 4.

Why is this happening this weekend?

At most a +1.

But the +1's (except C5+1) are on low-coverage DVB-T2 multiplexes?
Could ViacomCBS do something with the CBS channels on Freeview going forward?
Or they could secure one of the spare slots available on COM5 & 6 that have been available since Sony vacated them?

Other problem is, its spreading its content to thinly, Why have CC and 5 star if you going to get My wife and kids within second of each other?

They really could do with refocusing their channels.

5 USA is the only seemingly successful one as it has a clear name and focus/content but should it just be limited to American dramas and the odd film, and not show American comedies?

5 STAR could be anything going by the name. It houses a lot of American comedies in daytime and UK docs and reality in the evening so why not give it a name that better suits that?

5 SELECT is a complete waste and I imagine this will be the prime choice to go if Comedy Central is to launch on Freeview.

5 SPIKE could equally go and I would probably never notice. It hasn't really made an impact and doesn't have any standout content.

Paramount looks nice but doesn't have a lot of new content to draw in audiences.
