Er, there's a little matter of Channel 4's 21st birthday next week. Are they doing anything for it, or aren't they bothering?

Well they are ending Brookie and giving Hollyoaks an extra episode in the same week (plus a late night episode) short of that Channel 4 don't seem to like to promote their age. Laughing

Yes, I think this will leave Countdown as the only programme left that has been there since Channel 4 launched. It now looks like Channel 4 are trying to scrap Countdown by moving it around all over the place untill it get such low ratings that they can axe it!

Channel 4 and Channel 4 News were supposed to be relaunching on their birthday with a completely new look. They were supposed to be bringing in a new logo, replacing the one that has been there since the start.

Perhaps they are going to relaunch, and they just haven't told anyone.

Didn't they celebrate their 15th? Or was it just that Adam and Joe C4 nostalgia programme, and nothing else?

Richard Whiteley was interviewed on XFM this morning. According to him, Countdown's birthday (and Channel 4's) birthday is on Sunday, so Friday's edition of the show will have a surprise ending.
