Channel 4's 2004-15 idents

The best set of idents of the 21st century until the BBC2 curve came along. More than I remembered too, but a shame they didn't get the Christmas treatment till 2012.

As for what replaced them two of the idents were truly stunning, whilst the other two were truly awful. Was a shame though the origins of 4 theme wasn't developed further as there was real potential there, but sadly that was nothing more than marketing guff. The 4-man is rather tired now too and I wish they'd gone with the blocks animation instead as the few they have done, especially at Christmas, show they can work really well. Probably time for a complete rebrand now though.

They didn't even feature the 4 logo aswell, worst ident of the 2015-17 set was that one with the bird/human thing or the simpsons one.

Bird was terrible but the petri dish one was worse.

Must add the current E4 idents are brilliant and the Film4 idents were updated pretty seamlessly with the new logo, though sadly some were dropped at that point. More4 really is long overdue a rebrand though.

I still have a bit of nostalgia over the dancing shaman but that one might have been a step too strange for Channel 4. I liked the Simpsons idents, both the older and newer ones worked well for their respective eras.
