Channel 4 tv

At last I have seen Channel 4 have an on-air mistake - yipee!

At the end of fifteen to one it seemed the tape ran out and the screen just went grey with the channel four sqaure on the right saying countdown next and then it all went black for some time then a commercial break eventually rolled!

It mustve been a bad day if Channel 4 are having difficulties!

They keep superimposing their logo over end credits and talking over the music. That's a vast, huge, unforgivable mistake.

How ridiculous to superimpose the channel logo over end credits! We don't need reminding what channel we're watching! And talking over the music isn't paying respect to that composer!

Probably more likely that the programnme finished and the automation didn't take the next item. Tapes normally have a hold on the end of the tape, more likely that the automation stopped the tape and stood it down, the grey is what a VT machine gives out when there's no signal coming off the tape

Some C4 shows are now made so that the credits go up one side of the screen thus leaving a gap to superimpose the 4 banner on the right. This does save having to shrink the credits into a little box to run promo banners, so it does have advantages...
