I read a post the other day asking if anyone had the funky music that Channel 4 used to play when there were no adverts to show back in the day . I have the original Channel 4 theme single which has the 'funky music' on the B-side. If anyone wants an MP3 copy, let me know. It's a bit crackly after my brother took a pair of scissors to it about 18 years ago but I've managed to filter out most of the noise.
Is this the ident where the old multi-coloured channel 4 falls together slowly?

I've got the proper theme music single. The A-side is a classical-type piece that contains all of the different variations of the music played when the coloured pieces came together. The B-side is a funkier version by David Dundas (I believe he's a famous jingles writer). Unfortunately, the classical version is badly scratched (I've filtered out the pops and crackles as best I can) so I had to edit it a bit where the record jumps but it still sounds ok. The B-side version has a few scratches but with the filtering software it sounds pretty good. I don't have a site to post the music on so if I email it to someone maybe they can post it for me.
Is there a site on the net where I can find both versions, unscratched and unedited? Someoene said that a link was psoted on the MHP- can someone tell it me please?

Wasn't da music in reference pinched from a foreign TV station, I think in spain? Culd be time for a change tho as it's getting a bit past it's sell by date now da think. Dont you?
Doesn't matter what they use in it's place it won't be as good as da technical breakdown music they used in 1991

Also composer of the current ITV hearts music, and the previous excellent 1989-98 'Get Ready for ITV' theme.

'Get ready for ITV' was fabulous - ur quite right , I'd forgotten! That theme was retained on the itv weather idents long after the main 'get ready theme' idents had disappeared -
