Channel 4 'refreshes' its on screen Idents..

From Page 3 of this weeks Broadcast magazine...
I'll type it out as it reads in the mag:-

'Channel 4 has updated it's on-screen look with the introduction of a narrative  aspect to the 'moving bars' theme first introduced in 1999.
The idents include vapour trails, flickering light tubes, a beating heart, and sound waves. The new look will launch on 1 January.'

No screen grabs were attached, as it's in the 'shorts' section of the page.

Hmm.. Flickering light tubes..can't think where i've seen a similar idea like that before....

Beating Heart sounds a bit scary to me...

Interesting how they pull this one off! Good job I got I got to work on that C4 page after all...

And Trouble are relaunching their idents featuring 'underground rappers etc..' from Jan 1. Ahem, sounds good(!)

It will probably be used next year for 20 Years Of Channel 4.

(or something simular on another channel, what with LN being unoriginal and that! )
