Rather marvellously, Channel 4's HQ is going to get a giant logo just like in the adverts (i.e. it's all in bits and you have to look at it from a particular angle to see the logo). Also it's going to be really big: http://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/broadcastnowArticle.aspx?intStoryID=170784
That sounds interesting... but I wonder how they'll manage to get the higher segments off the ground?
This giant '4' logo that only forms when viewed from a certain angle - nice idea, not just artistically on this scale but also from a branding point of view, tieing-in perfectly with the idents.
A superb way to mark the 25 milestone too - after all these years, the '4', and the core concept, has all remained the same - so this will be a more than fitting icon.
The question is: will it be filmed for use as an actual ident symbol? It'd certainly be unique for having zilch CG rendering involved...So, perhaps I wouldn't rule it out.
Sounds like a splendid idea... good old Channel 4.
Shame the BBC can't do things like this more... then again the "T" in the BBC Television Centre sign has not been working for weeks!! Does anybody still maintain that building?

IN the 3 years that I worked there I don't think there was ever a time when all the letters were lit
Channel 4 (or T4) just showed the credits of The Simpsons twice, once full screen in 4:3 with no VO or graphics and then straight after in 16:9 with the T4 split screen (Simpsons in the left, pre-recorded idiots in the right).

They always seem to be doing that, especially with the simpsons, I really don't understand it.

I also noticed the wrong sponsor was played out for Big Brother's Little Brother earlier. They seemed to play The Simple Life's Vodafone advert.
