I can think of a large multinational post-production and playout company starting with A and ending with T - they're one of Red Bee's main competitors, and provide playout for five and Discovery, amongst others.

Would it be a separate playout operation owned (or owned by a consortium led) by the same Australian bank as Red Bee ? If so - then it makes sense to cosite the operations doesn't it?
Interesting - as the company that provides this playout operation has just been appointed (instead of Siemens) by the BBC to provide uplink facilities for the Freesat operation ?

Indeed the same company that provides playout to the Discovery Networks Europe channels were in for the bid but it's been confirmed to me that the colour alphabet company mentioned earlier has won 'preferred status' in the bid.
I also hear Technicolor - ITV transmission supplier - were also in the running though their bid was a non-starter as they've got enough on their plate with the Chiswick move.
