There's some irony there, since not being bothered to potter up and down is why we have remotes in the first place.

We have HD! I can't be bothered to potter up and down on the remote. Not that I'm a luddite or anything, but I was quite happy with 625 lines PAL !

I've noticed it on SD in Ch 4 Scotland as well. I assumed it was due to the adverts switching between regions and national output. Channel 4 used to have a 2 or 3 second fade when coming out of ad breaks, so maybe this is the reason it's visible?

That's interesting, so it's just not on the C4 South East England version ? The audio glitch that was present
on C4 SD has gone, though it's been yonks since I watched C4 SD (apart from at present)
