Channel 4 - New ident?

Fantastic. No other channel is anywhere near the quality of Channel 4's on-screen identity. It's very brave of them to have the logo form for only a split second.

Channel 4's idents are just so amazing aren't they! Not only are the concepts are great but they are always so well executed. Sadly I don't think they'll ever be as cult and fondly remembered (by non-geeks) as the original idents but I really hope they last as long!

At last an ident that looks real!

It is not formed by floating things or things suspended in the air, it is a good old optical illusion!

Channel 4 has the lowest budget but they still have the best on-screen identity, in my opinion.

They do keep pulling them out of the bag, don't they? Looks 100% real and I don't know if the sound has been turned up, but it has much of a proper tune to it than some of the earlier ones. Absolutely brilliant - imagine it in hi-def!

Very nice - well thought out and superbly executed.

Shame they can't put a bit more effort into their other channels (E4 for example).

Just in case anyone was wondering, turns out the ident is actually called Dubai.

As mentioned it is very brave of C4 to only have their logo on screen for a split-second in this world of branding bombardment. And note that there is no 'Channel 4' tag underneath or in a box.

Best set of idents at present? Its difficult to disagree.

As a resident of Dubai, it's a really eerie - but extremely well done - ident., and a landmark that I drive past every day. Full marks to whoever dreamt that one. It wouldn't surprise me if some rich man here would actually try to build it like that.

(BTW, that's the current construction site of the world's tallest building - "Burj Dubai", part of the Middle East's first "Financial City", hoping to emulate Wall Street., etc.........................)

Amazing ident. Well done Channel 4.

That's a seriously realistic ident, took me a couple watches to find the 4 though. I think my favourite is the one with the car driving.
