Yes, in the same way that the time when Carol Vorderman and Richard Whitely competed on Countdown was a conflict of interests, and in the same way that Jonathan Ross' appearances the The Big Fat Quiz are a conflict of interest given his wife produces them...
... I don't think it would actually be an issue unless they were actually winning stuff for themselves.

I don't quite see the connection, both those programmes were just for fun. Also Whiteley or Vorderman were purely on screen talent, not execs.

If the programme is like other 'celebrity' quiz shows then the competition will be to decide which charity wins so there is actually money involved... that's the big difference
It seems a very likely issue to me considering the climate of transparency that exists in the broadcast media these days. I could imagine that the thinking would be to eliminate any potential for bad publicity from the usual suspects in the tabloid press. You can just imagine the headline 'Childrens hospital robbed of £20,000 by cheating Big Brother boss' in the quiet first quiet news week of the year

The Million Pound Drop doesn't work like that anyway. One person winning does not mean that someone else can't win. Every couple/team could win the full 1 million in theory.
Anyway, to add to WillPS' examples above, what about Jasper Carrot appearing on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? when he was still involved with the production company?
I'm sure Richard Osman could quite easily appear on The Million Pound Drop and win up to 1 million pound for the Jimmy Savile Children's Ward at his local children's hospital and there would be absolutely no scandal at all.

No but it depends who gets which questions though doesn't it? I'm not saying that anyone involved would fix it of course, but the potential for accusation is there amongst the paranoid

How long ago was that, before all the broadcasters were found with their hands in the till?

Have you ever read The Daily Mail?

Well does not seem that bad, anyone else watching?
It seems from Twitter to that Richard Osman just isn't very good at Million Pound Drop - he says he played 20 times when they were developing it and never "won" a penny.
Deal or No Deal was OK, but just showed how effortless Noel Edmonds is at fronting it. Jimmy Carr rather effortlessly took over Countdown for the earlier specials, but didn't quite seem at home here.
The rest of the night though was nothing special - I think it kind of sums up the current state of C4 that they had absolutely no other comedians of their own on tap to call in to take Alan Carr's role on Chatty Mann.
