Channel 4 Idents Circa 1997 (?)

Hey Guys,

I have a Channel 4 ident from the Circles era - I've started finding these idents series, involving Jon Snow, Adam and Joe and others, with a really strange, non traditional ending.



Did Four experiment with the circles at any time in this way, is this a fake?

These are genuine - they had a few versions plus a break bumper and I think a generic ident (just the ending), but for some reason were dropped very quickly after a week or so, with the idents reworked to end with just a 4 in a circle (one circle, not the 4 circle logo) over a blurred version of the image. Would love to know the reason why because they're quite brilliant IMO.
