Irrespective of whether the announcements are pre-recorded or not I stand by my statement. Ms Thorn is in a profession that was for many years regarded as being solely inhabited by the elite. BBC and ITV started with CA's using "BBC English". Thats now been replaced by a welter of accents and dialects.

Now C4 has taken a further step by employing CA's with tics, stammers etc, Surely it doesn't matter what a person sounds like so long as they can do their job professionally

Brave is probably the wrong word to use. It's more of an acceptance of disabled people with certain hurdles into on-air media roles who wouldn't necessarily get them in the recent past.

For once it's not part of Channel 4 trying to shock the viewer with low budget trash, this is groundbreaking broadcasting which the channel was originally set up to provide.
