Channel 4 continuity tonight: Serious question

This isn't a joke. I'm watching channel 4+1 and I'm sure kathy burke is on duty. Is it just me or is she saying "biscuit" all the time

No, it's C4 CA Jess Thorn who has Tourettes Syndrome which makes her say biscuit as her tick.

Oh right. Thanks for the correction. Got to say having never heard Miss Thorn before I was confused. Brave woman.

C4 also have another disabled CA who uses voice recognition software. Can't remember their name now.

Jess seems absolutely lovely. There's a great interview with her by Stephen Fry on one of his shows, and she's been on a few TV shows talking about her life and the work that she does. She's brilliant.

How an Earth is she brave?

If you had a verbal tick or speech impediment that people may be taken aback by (as proven by threads on here and on DS) would you to a continuity announcement to millions of people on television?

Far from it IMO. Does that make everyone with a disability who is on TV, brave? No.
