Channel 4 butchering The Simpsons

This may not quite be the correct thread for this but I found in interesting.

Channel 4/T4 manged to mess up their playout of Scrubs on Saturday. The playout went like this...

1. Scrubs episode 1.
2. Scrubs episode 1 credits (including Little Chris IPP).
3. T4 sponsorship sting.
4. Scrubs episode 2 credits (including Little Chris IPP).
5. Adverts
6. T4 sponsorship sting.
7. T4 Scrubs introduction.
8. Scrubs episode 2 (without credits)
9. T4 Scrubs introduction.
10. T4 sponsorship sting.
11. T4 End.

In fact 9 and 11 are swapped over so T4 ended with the intro to Scrubs.

I've been noticing that T4 has been having trouble with playout, yesterday it played out the credits for Ugly Betty twice, one without the ECP and then the second time with the ECP.

Not to mention that the second episode of Scrubs on Saturday played the credits twice.

Another cut;

"If you want to beat up my friend in my bar there's a two drink minimum".

Two more;

Barney saying that boxing causes brain damage had the part with him drinking a can of varnish cut out.

The bit where Moe says the boxing gloves used to have stingers/barbed wire on them was cut.

And another... the bit where Homer gets shot in the news simulation completely cut...

Tonight's cut on Channel 4;

"It's set to whore" was cut out when Homer shots Marge with his makeup gun invention.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but i was watching 'Scrubs' today on E4 and it was shocking just how many cuts are made to the show, and for no real reason too. A lot of the cuts made were to actual non-joke moments and moments that had no swears of any kind either. Mainly the emotional bits.

The episode i watched for example was the one where Dr Cox goes mental and destroys a medical room and in the bar scene, they cut out an entire cutaway to J.D hanging himself, and so it went straight from the real life situation to another real life situation with the fade to white whoosh thing. It made no sense. That's just one part. Almost every cut made in the episodes makes the plot or the scene make absolutely no sense. At least cuts made in other shows don't ruin the plot too much, but these cuts were awful.

Why do they bother? Paramount Comedy have the same time slot for Scrubs and only cut the swears, nothing else.

Channel 4 are currently showing The City of New York Vs Homer Simpson which is known to be edited due to the fact alot of it is set around the World Trade Center, but this time round there's only been about 3 edits which didn't look too bad.

1) Marge talking about remembering NY for the scuds
2) They stick all the Jerks in Tower 1
3) Homer peeing in the Toilet whilst there is a shot of one of the towers.

Last time I saw this they butchered quite badly, not so bad this time.

I caught the very first airing of this episode on C4 (during the T4 strand about a year ago I think) and I'm pretty sure the third cut was kept in. Pleased it's finally airing on C4 with only minimal censoring as it's such a good episode.

'I'm getting out of this town alive if it kills me'

It's the one where you only hear him for a few seconds relaxing whilst there is a still of one of the towers.
