Probably not so much here, but in the old days in the US didn't ads used to be live, with the actors of the programmes walking off set to be featured in the ads.

There were rumours the US networks are considering going back to that kind of model, with actors from programmes featured in ads during their programmes, in an effort to prevent them being fast forwarded.

They wouldn't be able to do it here, IIRC, OfCom rules prevent the showing of adverts with people from the programmes either side of the breaks in case people mistake them for being part of the programme.

Is anyone going to record this and post it?

I've got the Sky+ on record, however I've got a few problems with the capture card, so I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to post it.

I was just about to post "what time is this all happening?" thinking I had already missed it!

I thought I'd tune into channel 4 and as soon as I did it popped up!

Ah it's very clever! Are we sure it's totally live?

Wow that was great.

I liked what the camera guy did the the "Hello Mum" written on his hand

I would've thought they would've put the honda caption and something cheesy like "thanks to everyone that helped" on the end

That was crazy, and pretty cool. Looked like they weren't quite sure of the time at the start.

Well that was crap - sometimes things are just better edited. Appreciate the effort that went into it though, but I don't think it's a moment people will be remembering.

Very annoying disclaimer though to introduce it - "Not live on Channel 4+1" - I'm getting sick to death of all these disclaimers stating the bloody obvious, and I think here it kind of took away from the moment a bit.
