There is another promo running at the moment, which has a clearer version of Four Score playing at the beginning.
Anyway for those who want to know, next Monday on More4 looks quite good, although 2nd November 1982 comes to mind...
9.00pm Countdown
9.30pm Brookside
10.05pm Walter
11.25pm The Comic Strip Presents: Five go mad in Dorest
There are other repeats throughout the week, has anybody got a proper full list of them and when they are being broadcast. I've just been rummaging around on the Radio Times site, but it's such a pain.
Incidentally, the
Radio Times
entry for the rebroadcast shows a
Countdown
publicity shot with the late Richard Whitely - and Carol Vorderman. Am I right in thinking that Carol didn't appear in the first show?

The season begins on Sunday with a two hour documentary, Channel 4 at 25 at 10pm.

CHANNEL 4 AT 25
This November, Channel 4 Television reaches 25. Told by the people who have shaped Channel 4's identity over the years - including Jon Snow, Michael Grade, Alan Bleasdale and Jamie Oliver - Channel 4 at 25 is a witty, fast-paced, and at times unorthodox two-hour journey through one of the most exciting periods of British broadcasting and contemporary history.
An intelligent and occasionally irreverent look at the highs - and lows - of the channel's 25-year output, Channel 4 at 25 explores how the fourth button on the remote control altered the broadcasting landscape beyond recognition.
Born in Thatcherism and having outlived Blairism, the film examines how Channel 4 has reflected and, on occasions, helped to shape the cultural, social and political landscape of our times.
From the first, and only, prime time sitcom with an all black cast in Desmond's, to the first pre-watershed lesbian kiss in Brookside , the film shows how the channel has broken boundaries and challenged social taboos.
Unlike traditional anniversary programmes, Channel 4 at 25 is a quietly celebratory, but not uncritical look at the broadcaster's defining moments, tackling the controversy that it has courted, or inadvertently created, head on.
Monday, as posted above, is programmes from C4's first night on air, while at around 11pm over the next few nights More4 are screening drama Powderhouse Blue, along with episodes of Vic Reeves Big Night In, Whose Line is it Anyway, Eurotrash and Golden Girls from Tuesday to Friday respectively.
Father Ted is also on Tuesday, but I think that's just part of More4's regular schedule.
That's next week - don't know what is planned after, but I'd assume the season continues until C4's birthday itself.
And I hope C4 do something - a "100 Greatest C4 Shows" would be good, but I think the "25 Years on..." 3 minute wonder programmes shown earlier this month might be about it for the main channel itself, apart from a Countdown special probably.
And re: Carol - yes, she was one of three original hostesses and just cropped up as the "Vital Statitician" to reveal the solution to the numbers game. Another host put the letters up, while a third - who remained silent IIRC when Richard read out the numbers - put the numbers on the board.
