Can't say I've ever seen this one before.

I've missed most of the day due to work, but it's been a nice nostalga-fest and still proves the original Logo and idents work well in 2007.

Brilliant captures there. Wish I'd watched Channel 4 this morning with the 4 Dailyesque clock. Love seeing the old format again, shame it won't last much longer .

Candles menu with Four Score Alternative + ident Click (3.13MB 27sec)

The 'candles menu' is taken from their first anniversary week stings in November 1983.

The four candles (Fork Handles!!!) were also part of the opening sequence that they used, along with the full version of FourScore One, on their first birthday in 1983.

Happy Birthday Channel 4, and a fantastic job on making over the channel for a day. It takes something special to persuade me to be bothered to dig out the big aerial for analogue (given the lack of D3/4 Mux here).
