No we wouldn't, there are far fewer fixed items in Channel 4's schedule to move out the way for themed programming like this.
They can put a couple of hours of archive programming on More 4 without causing much disruption to regular programming, if any

I agree it should be on C4 - but I doubt we'd be getting as much if it was to be honest - though of course they could still run stuff across More4, E4 and Film4..

i'm really p***ed that this is not being shown on the terrestrial channel, it's like celebrating BBC2's birthday on Radio 5, where is the logic in that?
it also show no respect to loyal views like myself who don't happen to pay up for more4

Since when was Freeview a satellite service?
Incidentally, did thieves run off with your punctuation?

And what would we be missing out on if the C4 at 25 programmes were on the channel proper? Oh yes, such gems as Big Brother, Wife Swap, endless American acquisitions, copycat property shows in the daytime...plenty of stuff there that C4 could have put on hold if they had a mind to.

Well, apart from Wife Swap and the a couple of US shows, that's all that's there at the moment.
To be fair though considering More4 are roughly doing shows one night a week then something most nights after 11pm, C4 could probably get more in the schedule. At the moment the only official thing to mark 25 years is the Friday night Comedy Showcase - though I doubt this contained any of the C4 at 25 branding.

Well Big Brother isn't on, daytime property shows are on in daytime and people like the American programmes.
It's far easier to put it on More 4 than move things like DIspatches, Skins, Jamie Oliver, 4Music, Millionaire Mission, Bremner Bird and Fortune etc.
Also remember that it's the Autumn where the big money is, a load of archive C4 repeats won't pull in the numbers like all C4's new stuff

More4 these days is available to pretty much everybody - people without a box can't complain anyway, it's all there for them, they just have to put a bit of effort in.
I'd rather it was on More4 than none at all, and I think there's an abundance of programming anyway.
Sure, you say 'what about people who can't receive digital'. Sure, I sympathise with them, it's a shame, but the whole country shouldn't have to wait around for the minority.

Its because of an agreement C4 signed with Sky years ago before freeview really took off. As far as I know they will go free to air at some point in 2008, unless C4 renew the contract (Which they won't, I'd assume they want in on freesat)

I can't understand why you have to have a Sky subscription to receive More4 and E4, when these channels are available for free on Freeview.
