Great documentary; deserves an airing on Channel 4 itself for sure.
Hardly a dull moment but I'm particularly glad they showed a good amount of archive pres in the first part, and also that they remembered to include a piece on the superb Brass Eye, along with some comments from Mr Grade.

Wonderful programme, and great pres. Loved how it ended with the number 4 candle that Paul Coia blew out at the end of the first night in 1982.
But funny how they missed out Mark Thompson's 'era' lol

Wow that was a great documentary, better than normal boring documentaries. I love that 'sting' with all the different presentations although the last bit of that should be black on white. All these old clips from 25 years ago and it really made me cry to see the old presentation being used. I can confirm that most was not of reconstruction, it was the real deal. The tapes were broadcast in cropped 4:3 (ie: black bars on the left and right), they used taped because the programe was made by an outside contractor and only in-house productions can use the real deal. But... why isn't channel 4 itself celebrating it after all it is
their
anniversary not more 4s!

Can you give an example of an in-house production?
Right to Reply was one of the only C4 in-house productions ISTR.
