its a bit strange......on the e4 music advert on ITV2, the e4 music dog is 4:3 safe....(and was fully covered by the ITV2 dog!)....anyway, but on e4 music itsself, the e4 music dog is not 4:3 safe....the small e4 logo is cut off with just the word MUSIC viewed in 4:3.
That's interesting - channels like LivingTV and UKTV quite commonly advertise on terrestrial channels, but I haven't seen a Channel 4 ad on another channel before.
I think the current ruling is that promotions aired in advertising slots on other channels must not carry the time of the programme, but they are allowed to put the day (AFAIK).

Thats right......on the e4 music ad on itv2 all it said was....."e4 music.....daily"
Nothing about it being on daily from 6am til 2 pm.

It must have cost Channel 4 a substantial amount more money to advertise on their rivals network as it's not harmlessly promoting a product like most other adverts, it's saying "don't watch this channel at 9pm on Wednesday night, watch us"?
Central always used to mention Channel 4 programmes with a logo of Channel 4 incorporated in the Central ident which was very good. You don't get this kind of things nowadays.
