Talking of half arsed and C4 I thought they were doing Stand up for Cancer again which I'd have thought would be round about now, but no sign of it. Knowing C4 scheduling of late they'll probably air it against Children in Need.
Today Jay Hunt, Chief Creative Officer, Channel 4, confirmed a five-year partnership deal that will see Stand Up To Cancer on screens again in
2014

Probably forgot they didn't have one in the 80s. A shame they didn't do a bit more to the studio - surely can't have been too hard to replace the background of the set with a bit of beige!
The Tube doco is really very interesting. A lot of people from Tyne Tees saying, essentially, the programme was a big raised middle finger to (a) London and (b) the BBC. Rather a shame that there's literally nothing left of the old TTTV studios, but in a way, filming all these reminiscences in and around various other rather desolate looking places is adding to it!
The 15 to 1 'reboot' (a phrase incidentally, I detest) was actually rather good. Can't help but wonder if they're using it as something of a pilot.
I thought the end credits of Chatty Man were quite funny. Basically all the names were replaced with famous people/characters/brands from the 80s, such as:
Titles: Amstrad
Art Director: Timmy Mallett
Stylist: Boy George
Studio Manager: Donald Trump
Sound Supervisor: Rick Astley
Vision Mixer: Jim Bowen
Lighting Director: Hulk Hogan
Floor Manager: Gordon the Gopher
Script Supervisor: Joan Collins
Production Planner: David Hasselhoff
Assistant Producers: Bucks Fizz
Line Producer: Sinitta
Producer: Boris Becker
Director: Charlie Sheen
I was a bit surprised about the "Ceefax" page. Being a Channel 4 programme, it should have been a "Teletext" page.
