Thank god for that. That's been going on for months and months and I'm still none the wiser what it was all about.
The CA announced the end of the "Today I am dressed as..." announcements before The Simpsons this evening. "It has gone on long enough and is now over. You're welcome"

The full announcement was "Hollyoaks in half an hour, after Bart gets all creative on us. It's The Simpsons and I am dressed as a silly idea about wearing silly clothes that has gone on long enough and is now over. You're welcome."
I expect they will do something else soon, like that time when they wouldn't say "The Simpsons".

Well Channel 4's promoting of the Grand National is away. The Channel 4 Racing logo is now being more widely used on breakbumpers, ECPs, and Grand National promos.

They don't do it on every platform, I regularly use 4OD on YouView and they don't mention YouView, just a simple You're watching 4OD.
On a side note, what's with the odd little mini-idents you get when watching a Channel 4 show on Demand? A random ident and 'You're watching 4oD... on YouTube/Xbox Live/iPad' seems a bit odd. Surely you know what you're watching and what you're watching it on? Is there a point to it?

I wasn't sure if they did the full announcement on every platform, it's just that the ones I've encountered include it.

Didn't the same happen to a certain big morning show too?
A misguided revamp did it no favours towards the end

I'd argue it was undoing the revamp which ultimately undid The Big Breakfast - or more specifically the show always reverting back to what worked in 1992 rather than being able to move forward.
Not sure it's been mentioned here but talking of changes to long running shows the structure of Countdown has been changed in the last couple of weeks for the first time in a decade or so, mainly as C4 wanted to place the ads in different places. Essentially a letters game has been replaced by a numbers game and there is now a break just three rounds in to the show (rather than five), with the middle part now having the half-time interval where the guest speaks before going back to the game.
