Another Christmas... another repackaged Peter Kay DVD.
Shame he got too big for his boots and fell out with Dave Spikey really.

I'm still enjoying Full English.

Will that be when ITV move production from the Granada building to Media City? AIUI ITV already have a studio pretty much dedicated to them in Media City (and have moved some kit from Quay Street across?)

I believe that the first HD episodes were the Show me the Mummy Halloween week episodes. All that they need now is for Countdown to go HD, and the afternoons will be very clear indeed.

Not sure how I feel about The Snowman. Even in the trailer, they've answered the question which was meant to be left open at the end of the old one; was it all a magic dream, and if it was, where did the scarf come from?
I do love The Snowman though. The original is just perfect, and I'll happily pretend this never happened if it turns out to be rubbish. It's disappointed me over the last few years that Channel 4 has given it an increasingly obscure billing. Through the 90s it was pretty consistently a prime-time Christmas Eve showing, and I'm sure it stayed the right side of 4pm until about 2006.

It would be nice if they'd also done an ident in the Snowman style to celebrate the 30th, but we all know it'll be bah humbug! yet again. Every comment though I've seen is pretty much the same - very positive about it retaining the original style, but nobody wants to see the snow dog melt! It's on a bit late IMO though - 8pm on Christmas Eve. It would have done much better in an earlier slot between 5pm and 7pm IMO rather than up against Corrie and Merlin.
Also what's the point in the Alternative Christmas Message when they don't air it at 3pm as an alternative to the Queens Speech. They're airing it at 4.20pm this year, with Adam Hills doing the honours.
