Not sure if it's been mentioned on here, but DigitalSpy have news on the upcoming Stand Up To Cancer fundraiser that it says is happening on Channel 4 on October 18th,
randomly a Thursday
.
I'm not sure whether it's recently been updated, but on the Stand Up To Cancer website it says that it's Friday 19th October.

Please, come back Watercolour Challenge, all is forgiven.
They had the balance right a few years ago when you had Countdown, DoND and Richard & Judy and Paul O'Grady alternating, as much as I like CDWM up to 6 times a day is taking the p*ss, I understand say at 5pm and maybe a mid morning repeat, but it's not a good sign they're using it as an afternoon filler where the old films and C4 Racing go.
I do wonder if they're making any extra money in daytime since axing the schools shows (and T4 in the holidays), along with News at Noon. They've basically given themselves an extra three hours to fill without the content to fill it - and in theory aren't getting any extra ad revenue as I'm sure the ads from the 4Learning slot were just re-distributed around the schedule anyway.
Hopefully rhetorical that, as I've explained before the Breakfast TV audience is contracting, with a resurgent radio sector. In addition the BB audience profile now has Internet enabled phones and tablets providing much more individually tailored entertainment, the flippant content and instant news, being available via social networks.
