3 hrs of Come Dine with Me every day is a bit of a shambles to be honest.

It is a bit much; was surprised when I first realised the extent to which they seem so reliant on one show to fill a chunk of the air time - it's the sort of thing I'd just about expect of More 4, but not C4 - schedule-wise, it does look weak.

Could be interesting to know how much of the programme's popularity is actually due to Dave Lamb's narration, rather than the format itself...

I wonder if the solution for breakfast could be a in vision news/continuity between the US imports.

What is the problem with Channel 4 Breakfast?

Incidently they did try exactly that format a few years ago, called Morning Glory

Well, I'd love to see Channel 4 try a live breakfast show again, as the BBC and Daybreak are dull.
I'm missing Chris Moyles on the radio in the morning on the radio, it would be great if they transferred the show to TV. The full team chatting, music videos, tv clips, guests and news headlines.
I'd watch.

To be fair from basically now on in the Channel 4 afternoons are going to awkward anyway now that Channel 4 have ALL the UK horse racing. So the days when not showing it what can they show apart from old films?

I have no issue with constant repeats of Frasier

Having the rights to all the racing will hardly make any difference because the Beeb were only showing about half a dozen meetings anyway, so apart from Royal Ascot and the Grand National meeting, there'll be virtually no extra racing on weekdays.

Besides, they don't have the rights to all the racing, or even the majority of it.

Worth noting that Countdown has been recomissioned for another two years, so it's safe to place bets that their afternoon schedule isn't changing anytime soon, considering it doesn't get the audience that it used to.

Maybe How I Met Your Mother could become the new Friends go-to-repeat for Channel 4? Similar show in terms of characters and setting.

The big bang theory is going that way on E4!
