Exactly, what would it achieve other than lowering the viewing figures to all three programmes?

If DOND was ever going move into the 5pm, it would have happened years ago after POG and Richard & Judy cleared off.

I suspect DOND is a show that's well into the latter half it's run, whilst Pointless and The Chase are very much in their prime. I don't think that threat would worry ITV and the BBC as much as it would Endemol.

I wouldn't say 'everyone' has them.

You could say 'most' people have them.. 'EVERYONE' is a bit of an exaggeration.

Can I ask what this modern day obsession with this, in my opinion, annoying and difficult to read way of writing? Are there any rules to this? It seems not.... Why Richard & Judy and not R&J? Why not TC for The Chase, and P for Pointless? It just makes things difficult to read!

Just in case I am missing why this is done, here it is in modern 'speak' if you do find it easier... Laughing

It saves those all important bits and bytes on TVF's servers, which is important as it leaves enough room for all the inane posts from new members like MichaelAdams.

NaT, DoND, PoG, WNT, BH, TC, MoTD are all very recognisable acronyms for programmes which have been used on these forums for years.

It may be an import, but fair play to them for picking up Homeland all the same...

The recent House Party was an interesting and actually very good idea, if not really practical as a regular thing.

To pluck an idea: how about the return of an After Dark style open-ended late discussion show?

There is just so much Come Dine on the network. I wonder if in the last day, there has been a single day it hasn't been on! It could really do with a rest, but as it gets decent ratings, C4 don't want to touch it.

I wonder if the solution for breakfast could be a in vision news/continuity between the US imports. If it worked, they could rotate the shows around and may buy a few different comedies.
