It is a real shame to they moved True Stories from More4. It was on pretty much weekly on Tuesdays at 10pm but since it moved to C4 in January I think there have only been two or three films under the banner.

Agree on this point, I had been unsure about that decision... To add, actually support a C4 move in principle, it's just the question of output.

The Alan Carr set was the same as the New Year's Specstacular set, all be it slightly redressed.

Yes, this being the main reason why I'm sure the logo is nothing to do with the anniversary.

The idea is that it's supposed to be in the channel 4 basement, presumebly that's the idea of the logos being present. I remember that light lunch used to feature the channel 4 circles logo on set, maybe princess productions like the idea.

I'm so pleased someone said that, I was going to point that out. Yes, Light Lunch had the C4 logo on its set and I remember at the time I wondered if that was something all live C4 programmes were going to do like The Big Breakfast, but nothing else ever did. I suppose it's useful if you PVR it to remind you what channel it is like how on Sky One the presenters always have to say "Welcome to X on Sky One HD".

Doesn't Sunday Brunch have one also?

The new endcap for the 'This week on Hollyoaks' trail reminds of me of these:

I thought this as well when I saw them:

Those new ads look pretty awful compared to the old Hollyoaks promos - all they needed to do was update the logo on them.

Is Million Pound Drop now on a two minute delay or was their clock just slow? The programme started at 20:30 if not slightly later but by time Davina McCall had walked up the stairs and said 'hello' and the crowd had stopped cheering their clock only said 20:28.

EDIT : I guess their clock must just be wrong then, since Kirstie Allsopp just said sh*t and McCall apologised for it so it doesn't appear to be on a delay.

Unless of course 'sh*t' wasn't bad enough a word to warrant going to the bother of being removed

It's on (at least) a slight delay to make the online game work - you get a 10 seconds warning on the online game that the clock is going to be stopped, to allow you to place your money.

Do you know that as a fact or assuming? When I play the online game and they stop the clock early the 10 second period to place your money starts after it has been said on TV, which suggests to me it isn't on a delay.

It's of course worth bearing in mind that digital transmission has inherant encoding delays anyways, particularly so on HD which I find can be a good 5-10 seconds behind, which may give the impression of a delay to online players.

I thought I'd read it somewhere; I thought details about how the play-along game worked were used as an example in a longform article on about the rise of multiscreen TV viewing. But that was not long after it first started... I can't find the article now, and might be misremembering a fact about another show. I occasionally do play along online, but tend to watch in HD, so (given the delay) I guess there's a high chance of confirmation bias creeping into this...

So, basically, neither solid fact nor pure assumption!

Does C4 ever show the Trafalgar Square ident these days? I'm trying to record it to add to my ident collection, without much luck.
