Could that programme get any worse?

I mean seriously, could it?

That'll be when it's moved to Channel 5 and hosted by Cheggers Laughing

That was good tonight the announcer said The Simpsons and then said yep I've dropped the ball, I could have thought of something else to call it but I couldn't be bothered really

Thursday and today (which is a Friday) just had straight "The Simpsons" introductions. Maybe we really have seen the end of these wacky introductions now. Still, at least we can say we were there. Something to tell the grandchildren.

Might we see the Channel 4 blocks for Deal or no Deal's 80s Love Week?

We did! We did!

Although it was part of the programme rather than part of the continuity, so it appeared after the sponsor credit. The music is fantastic, it sounds like a C64 remix of the Deal or no Deal theme.

Again, it's just having a bit of fun.

That's nothing like 'Top of the Pops' - Noel always wore a suit and tie when he hosted it! Wink

I've not watched any of this week's episodes, but the trail makes it all look like fun - and why shouldn't DoND have weeks like this?

Channel 4 announced today that Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer will be joining the channel in March to co-host a brand new show called Sunday Brunch.

Sunday Brunch will be packed to the brim with celebrity guests, super tasty cookery and all the wit, chat and banter needed to see you through a Sunday morning. The show will be made by Princess Productions for Channel 4 and executive producer is Henrietta Conrad. Sunday Brunch was commissioned for Channel 4 by Head of Formats Dominic Bird.

Dominic Bird, Head of Formats, Channel 4, said: "Simon and Tim have brilliant on screen chemistry and their partnership will be at the heart of Sunday Brunch. They're a great fit for Channel 4 and we can't wait to get going on the new show."

Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer said "We're chuffed to be joining Channel 4. We have a great laugh working together and we're very pleased we can continue that in our new home."

I wonder what this means for T4's slot.

Sure I heard somewhere that it was ITV who had snapped it up?

Princess produce T4 don't they? So it might coexist within/alongside the usual Sunday bloc somehow.

ITV were in discussions, but nothing was ever set in stone.

Interesting to see what effect it'll have on T4, I can't help but notice it's been cut back a lot in recent years, and seems to be more Simpsons and Big Bang Theory repeats (although I do enjoy both)

It would have been ironic if they had poached it, of course, because when it began ITV launched Sunday Feast as a cynical spoiler, it started a few weeks before after they got wind the Beeb were going to do it, and there was a bit in Broadcast at the time about how both channels were desperate to get Andi Peters to present their shows, for some reason. Eventually he opted for ITV and it was axed after about six weeks. Ha ha ha.
