How long have Countdown been doing this when someone gets the Countdown Conundrum wrong?

Do they do this every time or was this to cover something up? It obviously involved an extra edit.

In other news, you can almost see that audience member's hash tag. Embarassed

I think they've been using the INCORRECT thing for a while now. I don't think it's to cover anything up. Just looks better than the host saying "No, it isn't."

Not a massive fan of that - the appeal of Countdown is its simplicity.

It's obvious that that's been edited - you don't need to be the kind of person who can spot an edit a mile off to see that it must have been done in post as they couldn't change the tiles that quickly (unless anybody knows different).

I hear someone did quite well on Deal or no Deal today. Was this kept a secret until broadcast? I didn't see any mention of it beforehand, but I wasn't really looking either.

The word went the same direction both times so it must be added in later. They could do it 'live' of course - turn it round one way for the answer and the other for incorrect

It seems to have been kept secret - as was the last one and possibly the one before. And all the better for it.

This is the first time though since the first winner that it has been won in standard gameplay (2nd was a Bankers Gamble, 3rd had offers every box in the final round). I also think unlike Millionaire the show seems to benefit from having a winner - nobody would be talking about the game had she dealt on the final offer.

Who's the announcer on Channel 4 this afternoon? She sounds like she used to be a regular announcer years ago if I'm not mistaken.

E4's announcers now have a running joke with HIMYM, calling it 'How I Met Your Mum' or 'How I Met Your Ma'. It was even the subject of a Twitter vote last week with @E4Announcer

Obviously that Ikea clock isn't as reliable as we thought - it was eight minutes off during Chatty Man.

It's been about a minute out everytime I've seen it. And here was me thinking they could use the fancy new technology that allows them to overlay on ads live.

C4's Usain Bolt ident has been named Best Ident at the PromaxUK Awards. I guess that's the only award they'll be getting for their athletics championship coverage. I'm also assuming the ident hasn't been seen since.

Well, you've never let me down before, YouTube commenters, and it seems you've struck gold again.

Thanks commenters, Thommenters.
